The February 5 Presidential Primary in New
Jersey is fast approaching.
The 2008 Presidential campaign has already been a
historic and memorable one for both parties, and
New
Jersey figures to play a
significant role in the process.
If you are not already registered, you
will have until January 15 to do so. While it is too
late to change party affiliation, if you are an
unaffiliated voter, you can select your party at the
polls.
I encourage you to take a moment to make
sure you know where to vote and the hours of your
polling place. The New Jersey League of Women Voters
has a Frequently
Asked Questions page, which answers these and
other questions.
New
Jersey no longer requires a reason to vote absentee,
so if you want to submit an absentee ballot, all you
must do is complete an absentee
ballot application and either mail the application
to your County Clerk seven days prior to the election
or apply in person to the County Clerk until 3 p.m.
the day before the election.
Sincerely,
RUSH HOLT
Member of
Congress
